I’ve been a public high school educator in Oklahoma for 30 years, and outside of teaching, I spent 20 years building homes. That experience has made me very particular about construction, especially when it comes to builders who rush through the details or cut corners. From the beginning of this project, I could tell that Deckworks was committed to quality and craftsmanship—something that is increasingly rare these days. I examined everything closely, from the framing of the deck to the replacement of the pergola roof, genuinely trying to find fault with the work. I couldn’t find any. One of the things that impressed me most was how clean they kept the worksite every day. Everything was so neat and orderly that I could barely find a speck of sawdust. The finished product is outstanding and absolutely worth the investment. Thank you to the entire Deckworks team for your exceptional work!

Response from the owner:Chris, thank you for the thoughtful, detailed review and for bringing your experienced eye to our work. We're proud our team delivered the craftsmanship, attention to detail, and jobsite cleanliness you were looking for, and that the deck and pergola roof replacement met your expectations. Your recommendation means a lot to everyone at Deckworks.

Soon after we bought our house about 25 years ago we needed to replace our deck by the pool in the backyard. We liked the precision, design, and structure of the existing deck. We doubted we would be as happy with the new one but it needed to be done. We contacted Deckworks and they were awesome. The new deck was precise, careful, and beautiful. Just like we wanted. And they were reliable, professional, and on quote. We had found a gem. Over the years we have relied on Deckworks for various other projects, and they continue to be a valued partner. It is nice to have them on our team.

Response from the owner:Thank you, Hugh, for your wonderful review and for trusting Deckworks with your home over the years. We’re delighted the deck replacement met your expectations for precision, design, and craftsmanship and that our team was reliable and on quote. It’s an honor to be a long-term partner on your projects and we appreciate your continued confidence. We look forward to supporting any future improvements you have.

Kelly walked us through this whole process and we are thrilled with the results. We selected Deckorator decking which is top of the line material. The base color is Voyage Khaya, and trim is Voyage Mesa; giving the eye a subtle break and adding a little contrast. The crews were quick, friendly, and very experienced. The heat was absolutely horrible but they never stopped except for lunch. We kept them in water and Gatorade which they appreciated. When finished they cleaned up each day they were here. It took only 2 days to complete and Kelly saw some minor imperfections which she arranged to have corrected; and it was done beautifully. Kelly arranged the gas company coming out to make sure no problems with cutting out back step since we have a gas line for the fireplace. I would recommend DeckWorks with no hesitation. Thank you so much for all your hard work and making such a big impact in bringing this 1964 home a little more up to date. Sincerely, Kat & Leighton Kirkpatrick

Response from the owner:Thank you so much for the wonderful review, Leighton and Kat. We’re thrilled Kelly and our crews delivered a Deckorator deck you love—Voyage Khaya with Voyage Mesa trim is a great choice and looks fantastic. We appreciate you noticing the team’s professionalism in the heat, the daily cleanup, the quick two-day completion, and Kelly’s coordination with the gas company and follow-up corrections. Your recommendation means a lot to us and we enjoyed helping update your 1964 home.

I worked with Kelly at Deckworks to contract for a custom set of composite Trex steps with Aluminum railing for a really tall swim spa I just installed. The work was scheduled and completed the next week. The materials and workmanship were excellent and the spa step decking was perfectly designed for this specific spa. The construction crew took the time to custom fit the exact height and placement I needed and really cared about the end result. I had looked at spa step kits online and at dealers - They were all overpriced, didn’t really fit well, and just looked cheap. I am really glad I worked with Deckworks to custom build this spa step decking system. The Trex composite and black aluminum railing look awesome and the system is very stable.

Response from the owner:Thank you so much for sharing your experience! Our team loved working with you to create the perfect spa steps tailored just for your setup. Your new steps pair very well with your swim spa! Thank you for trusting Deck Works!

! VERY happy with DECKWORKS ! PROFESSIONAL & FRIENDLY workers - from the office staff, to painters, to installers. We live in TRAILWOODS in Norman. So, not a giant house...but not painted since 2007 ?We had all the exterior wood surfaces painted, including a contrasting front trim (I picked Sherwin Williams colors). NO mess, no 'mistakes'. And we had a metal roof installed on our wood pergola ( they stained that wood too). Love it ! Allows us to sit outside in guaranteed shade, protected from rain too. Recommend them highly!

Response from the owner:Thank you so much for your wonderful words! Our team absolutely loved working on your home and is over the moon that you’re enjoying the fabulous new look and shade!

We could not be happier with the work DeckWorks did on our project. We had a massive 70-foot deck with significant foundation issues that needed to be completely replaced. From the very beginning, Brent was fantastic to work with. He took the time to understand what we wanted, helped us develop a plan, and provided valuable guidance throughout the entire process. His knowledge, professionalism, and attention to detail gave us confidence that the project was in the right hands. The DeckWorks team removed the old deck and built us an absolutely spectacular new one. The craftsmanship is outstanding, and the finished product has completely transformed our outdoor living space. The new railings and lighting look incredible and add both beauty and functionality. Every detail was thoughtfully executed, and the quality of the work is evident everywhere you look. What impressed us most was the dedication of their crew. They worked hard six days a week, consistently showing up ready to work and making steady progress. Every member of the team was friendly, respectful, professional, and clearly took pride in their craft. It's rare to find a group of skilled craftsmen who care this much about delivering a first-class result. This was a major investment for our family, and DeckWorks exceeded our expectations in every way. The finished deck is not only structurally sound but truly beautiful. We receive compliments on it all the time. If you're considering a deck project, I highly recommend Brent and the entire DeckWorks team. Their workmanship, integrity, and commitment to customer satisfaction are second to none.

Response from the owner:Thank you so much for the incredible review. It truly means a lot to our entire team. This was a major project, and we’re honored that you trusted Deck Works to completely rebuild such an important part of your home. Brent and the crew take a lot of pride in making sure every detail is done right, so hearing how much you appreciate the craftsmanship, communication, and dedication throughout the process is incredibly rewarding. Your new deck turned out absolutely beautiful, and we’re thrilled that it has transformed your outdoor living space into something your family can enjoy for years to come. The railings and lighting really brought the whole project together, and we’re glad you love the finished result as much as we do. Thank you again for your trust, hospitality, and kind words about our team. Reviews like this mean everything to a small business like ours. We sincerely appreciate the recommendation and hope you enjoy your new deck for many years ahead!
