I’ve been a public high school educator in Oklahoma for 30 years, and outside of teaching, I spent 20 years building homes. That experience has made me very particular about construction, especially when it comes to builders who rush through the details or cut corners. From the beginning of this project, I could tell that Deckworks was committed to quality and craftsmanship—something that is increasingly rare these days. I examined everything closely, from the framing of the deck to the replacement of the pergola roof, genuinely trying to find fault with the work. I couldn’t find any. One of the things that impressed me most was how clean they kept the worksite every day. Everything was so neat and orderly that I could barely find a speck of sawdust. Soon after we bought our house about 25 years ago we needed to replace our deck by the pool in the backyard. We liked the precision, design, and structure of the existing deck. Kelly walked us through this whole process and we are thrilled with the results. We selected Deckorator decking which is top of the line material. The base color is Voyage Khaya, and trim is Voyage Mesa; giving the eye a subtle break and adding a little contrast. The crews were quick, friendly, and very experienced. The heat was absolutely horrible but they never stopped except for lunch. We kept them in water and Gatorade which they appreciated. When finished they cleaned up each day they were here. It took only 2 days to complete and Kelly saw some minor imperfections which she arranged to have corrected; and it was done beautifully. Kelly arranged the gas company coming out to make sure no problems with cutting out back step since we have a gas line for the fireplace. I would recommend DeckWorks with no hesitation. I worked with Kelly at Deckworks to contract for a custom set of composite Trex steps with Aluminum railing for a really tall swim spa I just installed. The work was scheduled and completed the next week. The materials and workmanship were excellent and the spa step decking was perfectly designed for this specific spa. The construction crew took the time to custom fit the exact height and placement I needed and really cared about the end result. I had looked at spa step kits online and at dealers - They were all overpriced, didn’t really fit well, and just looked cheap. I am really glad I worked with Deckworks to custom build this spa step decking system. The Trex composite and black aluminum railing look awesome and the system is very stable.

! VERY happy with DECKWORKS ! PROFESSIONAL & FRIENDLY workers - from the office staff, to painters, to installers. We live in TRAILWOODS in Norman. So, not a giant house...but not painted since 2007 ?We had all the exterior wood surfaces painted, including a contrasting front trim (I picked Sherwin Williams colors). NO mess, no 'mistakes'. And we had a metal roof installed on our wood pergola ( they stained that wood too). Love it ! Allows us to sit outside in guaranteed shade, protected from rain too. Recommend them highly!
